Crush It! is absolutely phenomenal. Gary does a wonderful job laying the foundation for people to take their passions and build their personal brand. I agree with him that the death of the traditional resume is soon coming. Time to get out there on the net, talk about what you love, and Crush It!

It was this interview on "This Week In Startups" that introduced me to Gary.

Hey Connie, I'm glad the quotes helped you. I'm rather nerdy about books, so I like to use the TOC to help me see the 'big picture' of the book. Always good to have a map, especially when it tells you that there are exciting things ahead! Have you bought the book yet?

I never considered posting Table of Contents in a book review, but it does give you a good idea of what to expect. I like what I see so far. Your quotes helped me too. Love the idea of the passionate reader of my blog. I let out a good sigh when I read that one.

Thanks for the encouragement. It has been a difficult road just to get to this point, but I'm confident that this blog will help me focus my passions. I look forward to learning from others, like yourself, who have struggled to make a place for themselves in the world. I think that is often the most difficult thing we're placed here to learn.

I've learned the hard way that doing things that I'm not passionate about even when making a lot of money, makes work feel like torture. I like what Tim Ferriss says in The Four Hour Workweek about calculating how much it would 'really' cost to get a big toy, like a car. Not as far off as we might think. Good stuff.
